Pension payments start the month after approval
‍Pension payments begin on the {{PensionPayment}} following approval. If your application arrives after your estimated retirement date, your retirement date and pension amount may be adjusted.

Notify Us of Any Changes
It is important to keep your personal information up to date, including your address, dependants, beneficiaries, employment, and marital status. This is especially necessary in the event of your death or in situations such as separation or divorce, as it helps prevent potential issues caused by conflicting records.

Visit the CRA website to estimate your total retirement income from all sources.

Ensure a Smooth Retirement Process
Once you have selected your retirement date, please contact our office as early as possible (preferably three to four months in advance) to begin the process. This will provide sufficient time to review your retirement options, confirm the amounts payable, and finalize your election. Pensions generally commence approximately 60 days after all required steps are completed.
